Bad Hair Day

Wow. Need I say more? Kiki woke up to one BAD hair day. It's wild like she is!

Ouchie

Poor Kiki...bonked her head on a wooden corner of our hymn book holders at church....I ran out as she was turning bright red and walked out the door just as she started to let it all out! I thought she had just bonked her head, but then noticed this golf ball size bump on her forehead! she definitely broke blood vessels! Luckily, there's a doctor who goes to our church and he looked at it for us. He said that by definition, she has a concussion but from what he could see, no emergency visit was necessary. whew! Just kept the pain down with baby Tylenol and ice. I hoped this would actually calm her down a bit...put a little bit of fear in her...but nope! She was right back to climbing everything in sight as soon as she woke up from her nap. She's one tough puppy.

Kai's Fort

What is it about kids and building forts? I remember loving to build them when I was little, but now it seems Kai has the fort bug too. We put blankets on the sofas at Tutu's house with his cousins and he loved watching tv in the fort. I guess tv is just that much better when you get to watch it from a fort built just for you!

Kiki's discovery

This was from back in December 2013...I was sitting next to Kiki and she out of the blue stuck her finger in her nose. She had this look of "What is this!?" as I yanked her finger out of her nose. But, she stuck it right back into her nose and then used her other finger to stick into her ear! She had this look like "I didn't know these were here!". It was her new discovery for the day. I'm glad I was able to experience it with her! hehe.

Weee~!

I was in Nursery and Kiki was trying to get on top of this toy...I wasn't sure what she was trying to do and finally, she sat on the toy and said "Weee~!". She was actually trying to slide down the slide part of this toy! It gave me and all the other Nursery Leaders a good laugh.

Sparkles

Kai saw this my little pony doll on TV and kept saying that "Kiki wants that" so I asked him if he wanted to earn his stars to get that for her. He was so excited and was up for the challenge. He worked hard to earn his stars and was able to get this for Kiki. This is Kai at the "Build a Bear" where he picked out the doll, put a message in the doll (Merry Christmas Kiki, I got this just for you, I love you!), put in a cookies and cream scent in the doll and at the end, washed and brushed the doll. We also got a birth certificate for the doll and he name her Sparkles! It was such a proud moment for me to see Kai work for something Kiki wanted and not just something for him. And the best part was, he was so excited to get it for her. Kai is such a wonderful brother who is so gentle and loving. He absolutely LOVES and ADORES Kiki. I'm so blessed to have 2 kids that I get to experience there love for each other...it's seriously the best moment of motherhood! I am on proud mommy!

Out Of The Mouth Of Kai

Kai has said Many Many funny things over the years and though I didn't write down ALL of them (which I regret), I did take notes of many. Here are some of them...
(And I will continue to add to this long list of Kai's "funny"s)

  • 1/12/2014: Kai: "Mommy! Kiki said "New"!" Me: "Really? she said "New"?" Kai: "Yep, I think it means she wants New Angry Birds!" - Clever, very clever.
  • 6/15/2012: "Mommy! My back is leaking!" - Kai referred to pooping as his back leaking.
  • May 2012: Jason stubbed his toe and yelled. Kai quickly grabbed his pacifier and put it on Jason's foot. Jason sings Doc McStuffin's "I Feel Better" song... but switches the word to "thank you Kai for taking all my ouchies away". Since Mommy was the one helping him, Kai tells Jason "No, Sing it to Mommy!" So, Jason had to say "Thank you Mommy for taking all my ouchies away." (cute!)
  • 2012: Kai "Mommy, what animal drinks milk?" before I could answer, he says "Me!". And here, I was going to say Cat or Dog or something.
  • 2012: As we are driving, Kai would point out things like "Is that a tree?" or "Is that a car?" then, being silly, he says "Is that daddy? No, it's a rock." Hmm...I didn't know they looked alike.
  • 2012: Not something Kai said but more what he did. Whenever he gets hurt, I rub his head and stoked his hair back. I got hurt one time and he quickly came to me and rubbed my head and stroked my hair just I do to him.
  • 2012: We've been watching Doc McStuffin and in it, every time she makes a toy feel better, they sing "I feel better, so much better" song. In that song, it says "I feel better, so much better, thank you Doc for taking all my ouchies away." So, one time, I hurt my hand and he said "Here, I help." He then kissed my hand. I told him "Thank you, I'm okay now. I feel better." He then demanded "Sing Doc McStuffin". I guess to him, if you feel better, you show it by singing the "I feel better" song! After I sang it, he said "Ok! Let's go!". It's what completes the whole ordeal for him!
  • 2012: Naomi said that Kai was waiting for me to pick him up and when it got closer, started singing (his own made up tunes) "I love mommy, she makes me happy, she's coming soon". Stories like these makes me wish I wasn't working!
  • 1/2012: Kai points to Jason's nostrils....Kai : "Daddy, you have worms in your nose!" (LOL. to him, nose hairs looked like worms)
