Fireworks

After changing him for the 3rd time, all we had was a Tshirt so he had to just stay in his shirt and diapers for 4th of July. We bought fireworks for Kai, and Jason couldn't wait to get started. When we first turned it on, Kai ran away scared...so he would only watch it from a distance. But he got used to it and was okay with it as long as Jason stood by him to make sure he was safe and sound! Maybe he'll enjoy it more next year.

Run!!!

After swimming, I got Kai all dry and into new clothes for 4th of July. He still wanted to play outside so Grandpa Scott took him outside. 5 minutes later, I look outside to find Kai soaking wet again because Grandpa Scott had turned the sprinklers on for him! Oh Grandpa Scott! He just loves doing anything and everything that will make Kai happy. That's why we love him so much! I'd never seen Kai play in the sprinklers so off I went to take pictures. I sat on the other side and got this precious picture of Kai running through sprinklers...just look at his face! He look terrified! LOL! but he was loving every second of it.

Swimming at Nana's

Nana bought Kai this cute pool that will keep him in the shade. It's perfect since Kai will stay in the pool for hours if we let him! It'll keep him from turning into a lobster!

Welcome Home!

My brother was in Japan with his family for 8 months. They finally came home and we went to pick them up at the airport. We gave him his bottle and off we went to the airport. We thought he'd love seeing the airplanes and the airport...we were wrong. He was so shy and scared...he wouldn't even sit still for Grandpa! Cousin Jonah was still happy to see him!

What else can I throw in there?

Kai loves to move things from one place to another. He especially loves throwing things into a hole...like: sinks, vases, garbage cans...and now....bathtubs. You'd think he would love to put his toys away into their toy bins, but he never does it...He just like to put things where they don't belong!! I was getting ready one morning and since Kai was being quiet, I just let him be. Well, I looked up to find him putting everything he could get his hands on into the bathtub! I finally stopped him when he started trying to put our bathrobes into the tub.

Face Paint

We had a church activity where they had face painting....I knew Kai wouldn't sit still long enough for something cute so we opted to have "eye black" so that he could look like a football player. Well, that lasted 1 second since Kai took his arm and rubbed across his face...it just turned into one big black smear. :(

Kai's First Ride at Toys R Us

Kai was not quite sure what to think of this ride....scary? fun? but we went on it twice!

Kai the Plumber

Another day out in the pool and Kai's showing a little bit more than necessary!

Mr. Clean

Kai is Mommy's Little Helper! Anytime he sees a broom or a mop, he picks it up and off to work he goes! Only if he could fold laundry.

I'm full

After a long time in the pool, Kai's diaper had more than enough. I think it's full and time for a change!

Human Prune

Kai Kai Kai...You make me laugh so much! You were in the pool for so long and you just would not come out! Finally I made you get out but when I went to put your clothes on, I discovered that your feet had turned into a PRUNE!!!

Do you have twins?

Jason and I went to Target to get Kai a swimsuit. He also needed new shoes (sandals). We also got him some toys to play with in the pool. When Jason and I were checking out, the lady at the register asks "Oh! do you guys have twins?". Jason and I were puzzled at the question until we realized, we had 2 of everything! 2 swim shorts, 2 toys, 2 sandals. Jason just replied "No, our little boy is just spoiled." actually, I think Jason and I are the ones that are spoiled. We don't want to have to remember every day to wash his swimsuit, so we just bought 2. It's easier to buy 2 sandals than to always look for the one. We're definitely lazy!

2 pools

Kai, you never stop making us laugh...you just always find ways to see the world differently than us adults. There's something about this small little tub/bucket that you just enjoy. You decided to play with the big pool while staying in the small tub. Not sure why this is funner than the bigger pool, but I guess all that matters is that you were having fun. The funny thing is, as long as you have water, you don't care if it's in a big pool or a little pool...you're pretty happy! AND, you love drinking the water! even if it's in the pool or in your bathtub, you put your head down, drink it, and say "Mmmm!". What a Cutie Pie!

row row row your boat?

Kai has the entire family room to play in, but he chooses to sit in his tiny tray/bucket. Maybe he thought it was his bathtub?
