Out Of The Mouth Of Kai

Kai has said Many Many funny things over the years and though I didn't write down ALL of them (which I regret), I did take notes of many. Here are some of them...
(And I will continue to add to this long list of Kai's "funny"s)

• 1/12/2014: Kai: "Mommy! Kiki said "New"!" Me: "Really? she said "New"?" Kai: "Yep, I think it means she wants New Angry Birds!" - Clever, very clever. 
• 6/15/2012: "Mommy! My back is leaking!" - Kai referred to pooping as his back leaking.
• May 2012: Jason stubbed his toe and yelled. Kai quickly grabbed his pacifier and put it on Jason's foot. Jason sings Doc McStuffin's "I Feel Better" song... but switches the word to "thank you Kai for taking all my ouchies away". Since Mommy was the one helping him, Kai tells Jason "No, Sing it to Mommy!" So, Jason had to say "Thank you Mommy for taking all my ouchies away." (cute!)
• 2012: Kai "Mommy, what animal drinks milk?" before I could answer, he says "Me!". And here, I was going to say Cat or Dog or something.
• 2012: As we are driving, Kai would point out things like "Is that a tree?" or "Is that a car?" then, being silly, he says "Is that daddy? No, it's a rock." Hmm...I didn't know they looked alike. 
• 2012: Not something Kai said but more what he did. Whenever he gets hurt, I rub his head and stoked his hair back. I got hurt one time and he quickly came to me and rubbed my head and stroked my hair just I do to him. 
• 2012: We've been watching Doc McStuffin and in it, every time she makes a toy feel better, they sing "I feel better, so much better" song. In that song, it says "I feel better, so much better, thank you Doc for taking all my ouchies away." So, one time, I hurt my hand and he said "Here, I help." He then kissed my hand. I told him "Thank you, I'm okay now. I feel better." He then demanded "Sing Doc McStuffin". I guess to him, if you feel better, you show it by singing the "I feel better" song! After I sang it, he said "Ok! Let's go!". It's what completes the whole ordeal for him!
• 2012: Naomi said that Kai was waiting for me to pick him up and when it got closer, started singing (his own made up tunes) "I love mommy, she makes me happy, she's coming soon". Stories like these makes me wish I wasn't working!
• 1/2012: Kai points to Jason's nostrils....Kai : "Daddy, you have worms in your nose!" (LOL. to him, nose hairs looked like worms)

I dont think that's where mascara goes...

Naomi will be able to tell the story behind this picture way better than I can, but here it goes...
Poor Naomi, she was fighting bronchitis while watching the kids and as you can imagine, was exhausted come nap time. She took Kai and Kiki upstairs for EVERYONE to take a nap. The problem, one rascal didn't fall asleep. Soon, she wakes up to Kai yelling "Nana, Kiki needs HELP!". As Naomi rushed over in a panic, this is what she found...Kiki smeared in mascara. Naomi quickly goes to pick Kiki up, but she is all tangled in string. And, every time Naomi tries to pull her out, the string tightens and all of Naomi's drawer's open...it's a booby-trap!
Apparently, while everyone rested, Kai was bored and found ways to keep himself busy. He first took the makeup that was Ashley and Charity's Christmas gift and threw it into Kiki's crib...which Kiki then opened and smeared it on her face. Then, he started wrapping Kiki and the drawer knobs with strings so much that they were all stuck together and caused the drawers to open every time Naomi tried to open the drawer.
But the funniest for me was that the first thing Naomi tells me is "Don't worry, it's natural makeup"
Isn't Nana so sweet that even after all the rascal acts, she's still most worried about her grand-babies safety! 

Vroom Vroom!

I LOVE it when a store has these fabulous car/carts. It keeps the kids happy and lets parents shop somewhat more in peace. I knew Kai would be happy but I must say, Kiki was way more into than Kai...hence, she's a little blurry in the picture!

Dinosaur Museum

My how time has flown by...and how different #2 is from #1!
When I first brought Kai to the museum, he didn't want to touch the dirt and water at all!!!! 
But not Kiki!! She went right to it. She was getting wet so I had to force her to put on the apron.
I'm glad Kai got over his fear of being dirty and wet (well, sort of) and he can now play with the other kids!

Rocking the Game Center

Here's Kiki at the nearby Game Center. She wasn't interested in any of the kiddie games. She wanted to dance and drive the cars...SIGH...She's 18 months going on 16 already. What are we going to do!

How Kai Uses A Tissue

Kai has been fighting a cold and therefore has been constantly wiping his nose. I went into the bathroom and this is what I found...notice the wet spot where he wiped his nose! He didn't bother to tear it off the roll. But I guess he at least tried to throw it in the garbage can...sort of!?

Oh Daddy!

Sigh...I worry about the days I'm gone and Jason is in charge of taking care of the kids. I have to give him credit because he does absolutely love and play with our kids, but sometimes, he just lacks common sense when it comes to child care. This is how I found Kiki when Jason dressed her after changing her diaper. I mean...come on! Apparently, this is "dressed" according to Jason. After all, he did put one leg in!
