now that's a hair-do!

Kai was running around and sweating so I couldn't help but put my hand through his hair to make it stick up! His hair acted like the best gel! look at all that hair!

Kai was able to enjoy 4th of July a little bit more this year since he could play with fireworks! (with help of course) He struggled at first with the poppers, but figured it out after awhile...he wasn't heavy enough or stepping on it hard enough to make it go off. :) He didn't really like the sparklers...I think he was scared of it...although he kept wanting to touch the big fireworks! Little by little, he's learning to enjoy 4th of July!

floaty

We're trying to get him used to a floaty so that we can go swimming in Hawaii. He fought and fought, but we were finally able to get it on him. Now, we'll just have to get in on him without a shirt and with swim shorts!

The Roller Coaster

Our next door neighbor has this awesome toy...it's a mini roller coaster. And the hill behind our house is perfect for this toy! It goes down pretty fast, but for Kai who LOVES speed, it's just right. They try and leave it out for Kai to play with it whenever possible. the only catch is that someone has to bring back the cart from the bottom of the hill. Kai can only bring it half way up so it's quite an exercise for those that are helping Kai!

Why not a Cookie for breakfast?

I was making Kai breakfast (oatmeal and applesauce) when I turned around and found Kai eating this large cookie instead! I dont even know where he got it...I think he found it in my purse and helped himself!! sneaky little monkey! He was eating it like it was no big deal...I just had to laugh and take a pic.

Mini Waterpark in the Yard

A present from Nana got put to good use on this hot sunny day...Obviously our entire family needed to get some sun before we head to Hawaii for Jame's wedding! Kai didn't want to step into the water but had fun playing with the water from the concrete. Maybe the water was too cold :) It's always hard to tell what Kai will love and what he's going to hesitate. He definitely has a mind of his own! It took awhile but he finally stepped in and played in the pool a little bit.
