How can lunch be so exhausting!?
I was feeding Kai lunch and he wasn't wanting to eat much. So, I decided to give him Squash....which he loves and always wants to eat! Well, I try to give it to him and he just wont have anything to do with it. It's not that he was full...he just made up his mind that he wouldn't like anything that I had to give him! I fought and fought with him and finally got a spoon full in his mouth. Well, in the process, I got food all over his face because he kept turning his face or smacking my spoon. The crazy thing is, as soon as I got a spoon full in his mouth, he finally realized it was the Squash that he loves, and he kept opening his mouth for more. He ended up eating the whole jar!!! Why oh why did it take all this to get him to eat the first spoon full!!!!
TROUBLE
I can use a spoon...sort of
Kai kept grabbing at the spoon I was using to feed him, so I just let him take it to see if he could feed himself. Well, he kept sticking the spoon in the bowl full of rice so he actually did know what he was supposed to do with it....he just couldn't get any rice on the spoon or take the spoon and stick it straight into his mouth. He wouldn't let me feed him, so I had to let him hold the spoon as I guided it into his mouth. It is a hassle, but all worth it to see that smile on his face!
The garbage is ringing
I let Kai play with my phone. I figured...what's the big deal? He can't open it to dial anyone anyway. Well, I put him down for his nap and start looking for my phone. One problem...I can't find my phone anywhere! I look under the sofa, under the table, around his toys...but nothing. He couldn't have possibly took it to sleep with him...I'm sure I would have noticed that! Well, I decide to just use my work phone to call my personal phone....ring, ring, ring. I finally hear my phone ringing in the garbage!!! Kai had thrown it away! I also found some Puzzle pieces in the garbage too! We better be careful before we throw out the garbage from now on! He likes to play with trash, but throw away perfectly good phones and toys. Odd.
Who needs toys when you have....Tupperware
I'm using a plate!
We baked some croissants and gave Kai a piece expecting he would just spit it out...but he loved it! He kept signing "please" so we finally gave him a whole croissant on his plastic plate (which never had a chance to use up to that point). I was worried that he would grab the plate and throw it on the ground, but he just kept eating the croissant. Yay! Kai's first time eating on a plate...and he did so good! I was a proud mommy.
