silence

I was so tired after work that I just lied on the family room floor watching Kai go up and down his little slide. He would laugh or clap or grunt to make sure that I was watching him. Kati then headed to the cabinet full of toys so I was prepared for him to start pulling everything out. I just lied there waiting for a crash or loud clunking noises, but nothing. I then laid there peacefully for a good 5 minutes before I realized that Kai was being perfectly quiet. What could he have possibly found that would consume all of his attention quietly!? I peak over and find him playing with the cloth block. it has a round block in the middle and Kai was concentrating very hard to put the circle block in and out of its hole! It was completely adorable. He just had his big cheeks drooping on his face as he looked very serious trying to get the block in the hole just right. I couldn't help it but to take a picture, pick him up and start kissing him! he was just tooooooo cute!
