Gochisousama

I want to make sure Kai learns some Japanese. One of the words I've been teaching him is "gochisousama". Which we say in Japan whenever you're done eating...basically showing your thanks for the meal you just ate. So every time he would finish eating, I would ask "gochisousama?" and put my hands together (which is the sign that goes with Gochisousama). Well, he picked up on this, and one time, when I was trying to give him a food he didn't like, he moved his face around trying to avoid the spoon I was shoving into his mouth...and then, he had this "ah-ha" look, smiled, and put his hands together in the "gochisousama" pose! Well, I wanted him to learn the word, so I had no choice but stop feeding him so that he knew, gochisousama meant you're done eating. Now, he LOVES this sign. If he doesn't want to eat anymore, he just smiles and puts his hands together!! what a smart boy!
